Pre-Conference Institute 1:
Organizing to Stop Law Enforcement Violence Against Women & Trans People of Color

9am - 3pm, Adler A
This pre-conference institute will bring together individuals and organizations from across the country who are using strategies from documentation, social media campaigns, cop watch and “know your rights” education, to changing law and policy and bringing lawsuits, and everything in between, to stop law enforcement violence against women and trans people of color!
Together, we’ll:

- talk about patterns, strategies, struggles and successes;

- begin to build a national network of organizations and organizers across the country organizing to challenge state violence against women, gender nonconforming, and trans people of color!

Pre-Conference Institute 2:
Will the revolution be funded? A dialogue between social change philanthropists
10am - 1pm, Burnham A
Social change philanthropists will discuss working to support mobilizations and movements for social, racial and economic justice that hold a critical analysis of the non-profit industrial complex and recognize the premise that “The Revolution will not be funded.” In this open dialogue, funders will come together to share insight, challenges, and funding models that honor grassroots efforts while holding an critical analysis of philanthropy and the nonprofit industrial complex.

People of Color and Indigenous People with Life Experience in the Sex Trade
10 am - 3pm, Clark A
The People of Color, Indigenous people, and Black people with Life Experience in the Sex Trade preconference institute will foster and promote leadership of people with a broad range of experiences of the sex trades in their own communities and in larger sex trade movements by bringing together leaders from across the country. This pre-conference will break isolation, build new and strengthen existing relationships. Conference participants will be able to network, movement build and skill share together.
